The Significance Of The Lumlang Marketing Federation
Recognizing the immense potential of rural artisans, farmers, and entrepreneurs, the Meghalaya State Rural Livelihoods Society (MSRLS), under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), initiated the formation of Lumlang Marketing Federation Cooperative Society Limited (LMFCS). Established as a cluster-level cooperative, Lumlang was created to bring together the Cluster Level Federations (CLFs) of Umling, Umsning, Jirang, and Bhoirymbong under one unified marketing platform.

Lumlang Marketing Federation
Lumlang represents a vibrant network of 24,000+ Self-Help Group (SHG) members, empowering women across Ri Bhoi District to transform traditional skills into sustainable enterprises. By strengthening value chains, promoting local products, and providing access to branding, design, capacity building, and market linkages, the Federation enables rural producers to compete in contemporary markets while preserving their cultural identity.
